LIBRARY

The IIHS Library specialises in urban studies and has a wide range of reading materials available for its users. The collection provides access to the latest research and trends in the field, with over 32,000 books, reports, journals, cartographic materials, case studies, and multimedia resources. Additionally, it offers access to the British Council Library’s collection through its membership.

The Data Library contains both current and historical data from various sources, including the Census, National Sample Survey Office (NSSO), Annual Survey of Industries, and Economic Census. It also includes databases such as CMIE’s CapEx, IndiaStat, Manupatra, and EPW Research Foundation’s India Time Series. The library is home to personal collections of individuals such as N. S. Ramaswami, Devaki Jain, Xerxes S. Desai, Almitra H. Patel, and David Satterthwaite, as well as reports from the former Planning Commission of India. 

To assist Fellows, the library is equipped with computers and research aids like Mendeley and Turnitin, in addition to circulation, reference, and information support.
